sometime ago I saw on this site how to search by FILM numbers on the FamilySearch, now that I need the info Ican't find it, can someone tell me how or where can I find out how? Thank you
I think you can only search by batch numbers, not film numbers. I took a look at a small number of the searchable collections, some had this option, others did not.
This link http://www.nuestrosranchos.org/pavrl will take you the Parish and Vital Records lists for Aguasacalientes, Jalisco, and Zacatecas here at Nuestros Ranchos. From here you can get the batch numbers. For other states you will need to look at the microfiche which may be at your local FHC. However, these lists are old, last updated about 1998. The volunteers may not be familiar with them, so finding them may be difficult. Also. not all films from all communities were extracted, so there may not be batch numbers for the communities you need.
Another option is to do a google search for "IGI batch numbers mexico". This site http://mexicoigibatchnumbers.wetpaint.com/ should come up. It has many of the numbers, but it is not complete.
