I received the following message from a person applying for membership. Email me directly (Joseph@nuestrosranchos.org) if you are related to the couples mentioned:
Hi. I have two marriage documents from Zacoalco Jalisco. I would happily give them to descendants of the couples. I don’t want to advertise that I have the documents because I don’t want to give them to a dealer or someone who just collects old documents. They are original.
One is the marriage of Yrmeo Fletes and Petra Tobar in 1868 The other is Juan Medrano and Dionisia Flores, also 1868.
My grandfather was from Jalisco and my genealogy is my hobby but I am not related to those couples.
Would you please ask your members if those are anyone’s grandparents? As I said, I want nothing in return. It would just make me very happy to see then go to direct descendants. I know how THRILLED I would be to have an original marriage document of great great great grandparents.
Joseph
Zacoalco Jalisco: Fletes,
I got excited when I saw Zacoalco on the headline, since a lot of my ancestors lived in this town. Sadly, neither of these two couples are related to me. I have a Flores ancestor in Zacoalco, but that's way before 1868. I hope a descendant who will appreciate these records shows up. I just have a question, how did this gentleman/lady get hold of these documents?
Saludos.
Steve in NC.
