Hello Barbara,
In response to your question below to Joseph, I learned that those of us who use "gmail" will not see their posts when submitted although everyone else will. Does not make sense to me but that is apparently how "gmail works"..... :-)
Good luck!
Josie

Hello Joseph,
I wanted to find out if I've been doing something wrong. I posted a suggestion to the Subject "Help" posted by Laura Gonzalez on Nuestros Ranchos website. I noticed that you emailed all the responses except mine. I was wondering if I did something wrong when I responded? Not the first time this has happen, so I thought I may have sent it incorrectly.
Thanks,
Barbara Andrews

Tresalva/Tresalvo
in doing research on the records from Tamazula, Jalisco I'm finding the word tresalva or tresalvo. Can someone tell me what it means since my translation dictionary has no answer.
Linda in Boulder City
Tresalva/Tresalvo
Linda, I know this one! The term actually has its roots in equestrian
history. A tresalvo originally referred to a horse with three white feet. In
the case of church record it refers to a mostly "white" or European
bloodline.
-Angelina-
Tresalva/Tresalvo
thank you Angelina, what a strange way to describe people! I guess she was "whiter" than a Mestiza but not white enough to be Spaniard!
Linda

Linda,
What records are you going through in Tamazula?
Daniel Mendez
Tresalva/Tresalvo
Hi Daniel, funny you should ask.. I went back to working marriages 1681... 226026.. I've been working on my Dads family in Zacatecas so this is the first time I've returned to Jalisco in a while.
It appears all is well in Brazil.. you look happy and confident in your photos on Facebook.
Daniel, my cousin and I were contacted by a Cammi Amescua looking for information.. she has parents and brother for Juan Mendez/Juana Torres Mendez, you never gave me the information taking that family line back from Francisco's records. Did she contact you?
take care, Linda
