I've been on the road since the end of Sept but have made it a point to read the postings even though I haven't responded. I'm happy to see so many new Spanish speaking members even though I don't read it very well my knowledge is expanding because of them by way of bablefish.. Welcome.
I also want to welcome Daniel Mendez who's gr-grandfather Francisco Mendez was brother to my gr-mother Maria Mendez from Tamazula Jalisco. Because he saw my postings on Ancestry.com he was able to contact me about some serious errors I had made on the Mendez family tree in the 1900's. I took names on old photo's as fact and put them in my records in error. I thank Daniel for taking the time to contact me with the corrections on his family tree. It turned out an unknown photo was Daniels father and older brother taken at my uncles home 20 or so years ago, long before I started working the genealogy of the Mendez family in Tamazula Jalisco.
I'm very happy to be back online in Everett Wa. again

Welcome to Daniel Mendez: Posting family files
Welcome back Linda. . .glad you had a good trip but it is always great
to come home.
Congratulations on your new cousin Daniel Mendez. Welcome to the group
Daniel***. If you have any questions or comments don't hesitate to jump
in. I hope you two will be able to work together to advance your
genealogy. Seems that San Jose (my place of birth) is becoming an area
of significant Ranchos activity (well I should say the Northern
California area: Bay Area and Sacramento).
***Linda, can you contact Daniel and tell him that he never replied to
the 3 confirmation emails and thus never got subscribed to the email
lists. I resent them today so he'll have a fresh batch of emails that he
needs to reply to. I'm not sure if he wants to be subscribed as I've
resent them before but he doesn't reply to them. Maybe you can talk to him.
