Hello all,
My uncle is celebrating his 97th birthday, we think. I found his baptismal record. There is an abbreviation after "cuatro de Julio" i cannot make out. I believe it stands for "presente pasado" but that wouldn't make sense. Does it mean last year (1926) or the present year (1927) Anyone have an idea? It is the second one from the top on the left page.
thank you in advance,
AP
P. PDO.=Proximo Pasado=prior month of July
the prior month of July; so---- "el cuatro de Julio P. PDO ..." mean the 4th of previous July (the July before this 12 sep entry). Note that the entry is being recorded on 12 September 1927......so that would mean 4 JULY 1927.
(From google: ¿Que se significa el mes proximo pasado? La expresión próximo pasado se usa para referirse al día, semana, mes o año mencionado inmediatamente anterior; el año próximo pasado es el último que hubo antes de éste.)
I'll go buff up the entry.
Apparently his real name is "J. Refugio"..... which would generally understood to be "Jose Refugio"
