Hello,
I have a question about dispensas. The following marriage records (link below) show the marriage of two brothers with two sisters and it mentions that they had “un parentesco de 4to grado”, but that they had been dispensados. I would like to find these dispensas to get some further info from them.
I looked at the www.guadalajaradispensas.com website and I have not been able to find these dispensas. Is there any other place to look for them?
Or is it possible that if a marriage certificate says that someone has been dispensado, maybe that does not necessarily mean that an actual separate written dispensa was always created?
Here is the link for the marriages:

I am looking for the following dispensas:
--Pedro de Baldivia married Juana Gertrudis de Alba
--Juan de Dios Baldivia married Petronila Juana de Alba
Both marriages took place on May 28, 1714 in Tepatitlan de Morelos, Jalisco. The parents of Pedro and Juan de Dios Baldivia were Juan Valdivia and Petrona Gutierrez de Hermosillo.
I am trying to find the dispensas to find out the ancestry of the Alba sisters.
Thanks,
Minerva
Dispensa Question - Juan de
Here you go!
Juan de Dios Valdivia and Petronila de Alva
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:9392-DVQ1-Y?i=147&wc=3JWL-K…
Pedro Valdivia(1) (son of Juan Valdivia and Petrona de Hermosillo) and Juana de Alva
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:9392-DV7Q-3?i=141&wc=3JWL-K…
BE CAREFUL: There is also another Pedro Valdivia(3) son of Pedro Valdivia(2) and Juana de Alva (I am not sure if they the same couple as Pedro Valdivia(1) and Juana Gertrudis de Alva from your post) who married 1) Anna Gonzalez de Hermosillo and 2) Cayetana Perez de Vargas
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:9392-65TQ-4?i=71&wc=3J47-C6…
The reason I say BE CAREFUL is that Pedro Valdivia(3) was married to Anna Gonzalez de Hermosillo in 1720.
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:9392-F4BH-9?i=95&wc=3JHC-GP…
Pedro Valdivia(1) was born in 1692:
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:9392-VK91-7S?i=73&wc=3JCC-C…
Therefore there is a very tight timeline to allow for the couple Pedro Valdivia(1) (son of Juan Valdivia and Petrona de Hermosillo) and Juana de Alva, to be the same couple as Pedro Valdivia(2) and Juana de Alva.
Furthermore, there is dispensa 1778 in the Sagrada Mitra book:
Cuquio. Jal.
This dispensa shows the father of Juana de Alva who married Pedro Valdivia(2) was Alonzo de Alva. This conflicts with the dispensa for Pedro Valdivia(1) and Juana de Alva at top of this post which shows her father being Pedro de Alva.
GOOD LUCK
