Hello Nuestros Ranchos Forum,
Could someone look at this baptism for Jose Monico Miguel Almeida and tell
me if all 3 couples are the padrinos or if 2 of the couples are
grandparents. its right after where it says Jose Monico Miguel hijo de
Refugio Almeida y de Maria Antonia Peres.

Hi Danny,
The first couple Andrés Pérez and Felipa Morcillo after their name looks
like there's an M or maybe AM with a parenthesis after it, so that may be
the abuelos maternos.

I see the same thing … I would even say that the first couple were the paternal grandparents and the last couple were the actual padrinos.

No problem. My guess is that the first couple were the Paternal Grandparents; the second couple were the Maternal Grandparents and the third couple were the Padrinos.
Keep in mind that this is only a guess based on the fact that the word “padrinos” is clearly stated before the third couple.
And that the standard notation for paternal grandparents is “AP" and "AM "for maternal grandparents. Although the first letters are not legible their is definitely a “P" in front of the first couple and an “M" in front of the second couple.
Sometimes all we can get is an educated guess.
Hope this helps.
