I was wondering if anybody has any information about the history of this pueblo in Jalisco. The research that I have done all points to Ocotlan as being the church that my ancestors were baptized and married in. My specific names that are related to me are Mora, Cabeza de Baca, Villaroel,Godines, and Villanueva. If anybody has ancestors form this pueblo can you please reply.

Hi,
In reply to your post, I have an extensive "Mora" line from Encarnacion de Diaz, Jalisco. I have only some of my files with me but I will try to post them so that we can compare our relatives. Sherri Mora

our lines, although I haven't found any relatives in Encarnacion de
Diaz,Jalisco.

Lomalarga Pueblo
Daniel Francisco Briones
This pueblo was near Ocotlan and many people were married and baptized in Ocotlan according to church records. It appears that many in my family with last names Godines, Cabeza de Baca, Mora, and Villaroel were living there in the early to mid 1800's. If anyone has family from there perhaps we are related?

I have an ancestor from Ocotlan with name of Villaroel. However, I am out of
town at the moment and my records are at home. I can get back to you by mid
January 2010. Will you give me some of your names to work with in the meantime?
