Ive made a huge wall breaking in my reasearch, has anyone done research in Pinos, Zacatecas or Noria de los Angeles. My Eugenio del Camino born ca. 1826 was originally from "la parroquia de Con. de los Angeles, this is the same place from Noria de los Angeles. Pre 1800-there wasnt a parish so everyonewent to Pinos
the San Mattias Parish to get there church rites. Does anyone have any Caminos or Oviedos for Pinos Zacatecas? -Daniel Mendez del Camino

I have done some research leading me to my 3rd great-grandfather, Simon Baez born in Purisima Concepcion de Los Angeles, Noria de Angeles, Zacatecas born in 1825, who married Carmen Longina Obiedo, born El Sagrario Or Santo Domingo, Zacatecas, Mexico in 1842.
My 4th Great-Grandfather is Jose Ygnacio Baez, born in Purisima Concepcion de Los Angeles, Noria de Angeles, Zacatecas, as well, but I'm not sure of the date. This information was from the marriage record of the above-named ancestors. Oh, and Jose Ygnacio was married to Maria Josefa Dias de Leon, but I haven't researched for a while...I stopped to take a spanish class! LOL
I replied because of your "Oviedo" name, I had never heard it before. You think there's a connection?

If its the Oviedo Family there should be a connection, They originally came from Pinos.
The Camino family would only go to Pinos to preform catholic rites but originallly came from the Silver Mines of Fresnillo. The family is supposed to descend from Juan Peres del Camino a top spahish official in la Audencia de Guadalajara. He served for the king as rep or something, I only have the document. its dated 1603. He is grandson of the conquistador Juan del Camino, who in 1542 left for nueva Galicia. in 1528 he recieved a coat of arms from the King. (Source: Gary Felix: The Genealogy of Mexico). -Daniel
