If I'm understanding this correctly, it's stating that the ancestry of Juana
Delgadillo is unknown, and it's said or maybe that Diego de Benavides is the
son of Diego de Benavides, native of Castilla (Spain). It is thought that
one of the sons, Luis de Benavides was known as a "mestizo." On 28 Jan
1679 in Mexticacan, died (I think it's referring to Juana, but I'm not sure)
of illnes, (vejez normal = looked ? normal) and of vomiting, Juana Delgado
of the age of more than 90 years, widow of Diego de Benavides. Of this
marriage ( I think it's referring to the number of years married...
something X5 ? not sure at all). Goes on to name the children, noting a
daughter, Juana Delgado who married Juan Rodriguez de Frias (same name as of
the author of this publication...), son of Juan Rodriguez de Frias y
Jertrudis de Amaya... Capitulo 15 y Luis de Benavides.
Please let me know if I'm on the right track with reading/translating this
document.

Parece ser que Diego de Benavides es hijo de Diego de Benavides el natural de los Reinos de Castilla.
It appears that Diego Benavides is the son of Diego Benavides, natural or native of the kingdom of Castilla.
Notese que uno de sus hijos, luis de Benavides se denomina mestizo.
It is noted that one of his sons, Luis de Benavides is listed as mestizo.
El 28 de Enero de 1679 en Mexticacan murio de enfermedad y vejez normal y de vomitos Juana Delgado
de hedad de mas de noventa años, viuda de Diego de Venabides.
On 28 of January of 1679 in Mexticacan, Juana died due to illness, normal aging and vomiting at more than 90 years of age.
De este matrimonio se han documentado los siguientes cinco vastagos. Phelipa Benavides, Maria Benavides,
Maria de Aceves, Juana Delgado quien caso con Juan Rodriguez de Frias, hijo de Juan Rodriguez de Frias y Jertrudis de Amaya, Capitulo 15. y Luis de Benavides.

Thanks for pointing that out, it is my senioritis in addition to the +100 heat in 7 days and power outages everyday for at least 6 hours. Yesterday power was out for 14 hours, that means no air and no fans.

I was just trying to place the index of the capitulos on Ranchos...
I'm wondering if my listing is correct... you noted Capitulo 56 for Juana's
reference. My listing has capitulo 56 as the descendencia de Nicolas de
Venavides y Ana de Santiago o Perez o Gonzalez...
For capitulo 57 I have Descendencia de Diego de Benavides y Juana
Delgadillo...
Please let me know if the book index is different than what I noted above...
