A Self Introduction

Hello everyone. I'm so beyond happy to have been pointed in your direction!

My name is Stephanie and along with my mother (okay, yes, she does most of the hard work) have been working on our family tree for just under ten years. There's so much to uncover and it feels as though there's just not not enough time. Now that my mother is nice and retired, she's been busy reorganizing and double checking our tree.

My paternal great-grandfather migrated from Tecolotlán all the way up to Bakersfield, California, working on the Southern Pacific Railroad. He (Atanasio Pimienta) was born in 1904, Tecolotlán, Jalisco, Mexico.

We hit the proverbial brick wall and after four years we were led to this amazing site; I'll be posting my questions in the research forum. I'm truly excited to have been accepted into the group.
