I did not see the marriage listed, but I might have missed it. It is batched on the familysearch.org site. Here is the marriage of Jacinta Placencia and Ramon Avelar:

You may want to order the film as they often have both sets of parents listed, where they were from, whether they were alive or not at the time of the wedding and sometimes occupations.

I have worked a lot with these records and Placencia is sometimes spelling Plasencia, Placensia, etc. "C's" and S's" are often interchangeable.

Just wanted to let you know that the Florentino Placencia Gutierres 1828 baptism, where one of my Ledesma's was a sponsor, had the following information, so I do not think it is linked to yours yet, but if you ever need this one, let me know and I will scan it:

Dear Roxanne:
I started to recognize the names right away. Sadly do not have any of the records, but I can tell you the Gutierres family married into my Ledesma family. One son of Juana Maria Ledesma Cervantes married to Luis Gutierres born in 1830, his name Jose De La Asuncion, and he was born Rancho de Ocotes. A little earlier date than you are needing.

I can help in your search a bit. You may try looking for alternative spellings. I have some Avalos family member with the spelling Abalos and Pacencia is likely Placensia or Placencia. Vasquez can often be found as Vasques. I had a Ledesma sponsor to a Florentino Placencia Gutierres b. 10/15/1828 Rancho Moya. I have to look to see if I have the record and who Florentino's parent's were. Sometimes I just jotted down the information rather than copying the record who my people were just sponsor's of other's baptisms.

Hi Roxanne! Well Ocotes is a very old ranch in San Miguel. San Miguel el Alto is part of the

Los Altos family region. Gutierrez is a very old Spanish colonial last name around these

parts. May include Gutierrez de HErmosillo, Gutierrez de Laris, Gutierrez de Mendoza etc.

I found a son of Cipriano and Andrea, the marriage of Cipriano 9If you dont have alread)

I also dont think the last name was Avelar, never heard of that name in Los Altos. I found

several children too. (The records are below that I found, maybe you have them) Well your

next step is to order the marriage film for Ramon Avalos and Jacinta Plascencia. I think getting

out of the 1800s is the hardest part, bear in mind once you do (and you should be able to)

you are going to learn SO MUCH! I know I have, Im still well rounded from 1500s to 1700s.

Be careful, Altenos do not tend to stay around, they kept moving all around the region which

socially extends into Jalisco, Zacatecas, aguascalientes, Guanjuato, Michoacan, and San Luis Potosi

but politically its just Jalisco. Well I hope Ive helped you in a way. You can always email
