Help Nuestros Ranchos Group. In doing my reaserch, I acquired a death certificate of my Grandfather on my mother side. In this death certificate its states that on July 4, 1928 my grandfather died of a gunshot wound without medical assistance, in the Hacienda de Ledesma Jalisco, which at the time belong to the Nicolas Madraso family, if my information is correct. What it does not state is what events led up to the wounding. According to my now deceased mother, she died believing that he had been stabbed. She was 8 years of age at the time and maybe thats what she remembered. Anyway to make a long story short. I would like to know what led to this tragic event. I was told in Cienega de Mata (now Primo de Verdad) that I would need to contact El Ministerio Publico en Lagos de Moreno. I did and it was fruitless and was refer to Guadalajara's Archivo Historico and for three weeks of calling down there did not accomplish anything. If anyone of you all have any leads as to where or whom I could refer to, please let me know.
Thanks Very Much

Are there any libraries close to Ledesma, that would have newspapers archived on microfilm?

Rose, thank you for giving me some ideas. Ledesma is an hacienda about 25 miles southeast of Aguascalientes on the road to Ojuelos. I guess I could try Aguascalientes or Ojuelos Libraries and see if I have any luck. Thanks again, I appreciate the info.
