Hola Claudia ,how are you ? Well I hope . I descend from the Reynoso line of Jalisco. There were 2 brothers Francisco and Diego Reynoso whose parents were Francisco Reynoso (born In Peru ) and Mariana Padilla Davilla (Culiacan and related to all Padillas in the Area) . The 2 brothers married 2 sisters Josefa and Margarita Renteria. Francisco married Josefa (1659)in Guadalajara and Diego married Margarita in(1680) Juchipila ,Zacatecas. So in a nut shell Francisco stayed in Jalisco and Diego in Zacatecas. What are your thoughts ?

Hi Ronnie (primo),
Hi Ronnie (primo),
Wow, I've seen you around while doing my reserach and I respect your knowledge, as I'm sure you've been at it much longer than I have.
Thanks for the information on the two brothers, Francisco and Diego. I sure would like to know how you made the connections. I've only gone as far as the mid-eighteenth century; somehow the trail ends with Silverio Reynoso in Moyahua b.@1764.
I found a Miguel Reynoso Renteria, who came to Jalisco from Spain in 1720, and wodered if he might be Silverio's father...
I am interested in learning more about where I can find the links between Silberio and Diego Reynoso (the Diego from 1680 you mention).
Also - a recurring theme abounds and maybe you can enlighten me on it: What is the deal with the Reynoso-Renteria switch? I have heard about a Reynoso changing his name, also I know many Reynosos married Renterias, but the more I seek, the more of those I find. One distant relative is born a Renyono, but some records show him as Renteria (his mother was NOT Renteria!). Any insight into this would be appreciated.
Glad to have found you and Sandra! Hope to share info and details anytime.
