Hello everyone!!!
My grandfather's name is Mateo Quesada.? His parents were Emigdio Quezada and Micaela Ibarra.
Mateo Quesada was christened on 26 Sep 1881 @ Nuestra Senora de los Dolores, Teocaltiche, Jalisco, Mexico.
I have no other information.? I think Mateo Quesada had brothers but there was a big fallout.
I was told that one of my ancestors came from Germany and "bought" the Quezada name from a family in Aguascalientes so he could stay in Mexico.? So I'm really stuck as to my geneology.? Does anyone know anything that might be able to help me or stear me in the right direction??? Any information would be of great help.

Hola Marisela,
The Information you have written concerning someone buying a name is amazing. Merits some further research.
One of my ancestors is Severa Ybarra Rueda, who married Juan Jose Sosa Medina in 1830 or 1835. Although her husband was born in Durango, Mexico, I have not been able to find where she was born. During the great "cotton bonanza" of the Comarca Lagunera from approximately 1830 to 1940 several hundred families traveled from Zacatecas, Jalisco, S.L.Potosi, and Puebla as migrant workers. The Comarca Lagunera is Coahuila and Durango. My mother (80 years young) has told me that many of her uncles came from Zacatecas during this time and stayed in the Comarca Lagunera. I have traced her family to Zacatecas to the mid-1700's.
Try the last name Ybarra in Family Search. I'll keep an eye out for your Ibarra or Ybarra info as I do further research.
