Dear Cousin John:
The origin of the Hacienda de "Los Campos" is wide mentioned in a titled
manuscript " Historia de Montesa" by Don Guadalupe Diaz of Leon in the year
of 1895. In fact it is an historical story of the origin of the family Diaz
of Leon and other ancient surnames of Aguascalientes, Zacatecas and
Jalisco. That valious story includes the years from 1620 to 1890 and contains
information of incredible testimonial value. I have an scanned file .
This document is 700 pages thick. Tell me if you need that I sen it to you
E-mail or "upload it" the familiar archives of "Nuestros Ranchos", for
permanent consultation of our genealogists cousins. Our causin Jorge Mendoza
already is consulting it.

Guadalupe Diaz de Leon Manuscript
Is there any chance I can get a copy of Guadalupe Diaz de Leon's manuscript, "Historia de Montesa"? I am a descendant of the Diaz de Leon family from La Montesa and would like to learn more about them.
Thank you!
Diaz De Leon, Tlaltenango de Sanchez Roman and Jerez
Where might I get a copy of the manuscript? Searching for my wife's ancestors.
Grandfather was Ysidro Diaz De Leon who married (3) Apolonia Casas in Tlaltenango in 1845
Thank you,
Hacienda " Los Campos"

Augustin de Campos
I am very much interested in the history of the Hacienda de "Los Campos" since several of "our" Campos ancestors are residing there in the 1840 census. They are listed under the heading of Sn JPH.de los Campos. Does the manuscript include the whole area...we also have ancestors on Rancho de los Belas and Sn Buena Ventura.

Felipe,
Do you have any genealogical info on the de los Reyes of Zacatecas?
I have an ancestress named Clare de los Reyes, who married Cristobal
Villavicencio/sencio/sensio in the 1750s in Jerez, Zacatecas. I have
no other information on her. Thanks. Marge:)

Hacienda " Los Campos"
You may have to break up the file into chunks as the web server will
not accept uploads of more than 2MB over HTTP... which is necessary if
it is to go into the secure part of the site. If you look at the
Tlaltenango Census document, you will see how the document was simply
split into several 1 to 2 MB chunks by pages.
This makes it easier to consult as well, since someone can download
portions at a time rather than having to wait for a huge file to
download every time they want to consult it. Let me know if you have
any problems with it.
