Attached is the latest information on the upcoming Hispanic Conference in
Salt Lake City. I went to the www.lds.org website but did NOT find anything
relating
to "Tesoros de Las Americas" as stated in the message. I will check on
Monday with Ms. Jepson about this. I have also checked with the Best
Western Plaza Inn (1-801-521-0130) and they have 4 rooms left at $82.00 each
for 1 to 4 persons per room. Howard Johnson has rooms available for $39.32
($35.00 plus $4.92 tax). Mention "Ranchos Genealogy Group" or ask for
"Mira" when making reservations at Howard Johnson. Their telephone is
1-800-541-7639.
The attachments are in Spanish but I know you can read them! :-) Please
feel free to contact me if you have questions. If you are interested in
attending please send me an e-mail so I may keep up with who is going. I
hope to hear from a lot of you!

Josie,
Ruth Schirmacher forwarded your email to me. I have attached our schedule
for the October 13-14 Hispanic Conference. We believe there will not be
any significant changes. As you may be aware, the Church is sponsoring a
"Tesoros de Las Americas" festival the following weekend and you may find
information on that event at www.lds.org under Calendar or Temple Square
Events. If you are planning a trip, you may want to arrange to stay for
that special evening.
We are very excited to have you participate in our conference. As you are
aware, it is free. We look forward to your group joining us.

SLC Hispanic Conference in October 2006
Josie,
The "Tesoros" Festival is listed in the calendar for October simply as "Hispanic Cultural Event--Conference Center---Time to be determined---". Also, I didn't see the schedule that you said you attached to your message.

SLC Hispanic Conference in October 2006
Hi Emilie!
Here is what Karen Jepson sent me last night regarding the "Tesoros" event:
<<<<<<
<<<<<<
<<<<<<
<<<<<<
<<<
yet. I only know the date, October 21. You <<
www.lds.org/events link or I will try to do so and forward anything I learn
ticketed. I believe it will be a presentation regarding Christ's <<
to the Americas and a commemoration of the 120th anniversary of the
the LDS faith or not, but even with those religious themed undertones, I am
when I can. All I <<
publication of the Book of Mormon. I don't <<
sure it will be <<
<<
<<
<<
<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
I will be in Salt Lake City from Sunday, October 8th until Sunday, October
15th so I will be unable to attend the "Tesoros" event but it certainly
sounds very nice.

No Attachments Can Be Sent via Email
Thanks, Joseph, for reminding me about sending attachments.....I completely
forgot! Before I read this message telling me how to do it, I had already
tried cutting and pasting the schedules, separately, into a Word document
and that is what I sent out to the group in two different postings......did
I do this right? Honestly, I am not very "computer savy" but I do the best
I can......that is why I get into the messes I get into! :-)
Thanks for the help!
