Hello Nuestros Ranchos Forum,
I found the Will of my ancestor Beatriz de Mayorga on the Aguascalientes site and it mentions her son my direct ancestor Joseph Martin de Sotomayor. Could someone possibly tell me what it says about Joseph Martin de Sotomayor. I put giant yellow parenthesis around the passage.

testamento de Beatriz de Mayorga
Danny,
Here is how I read the highlighted passage...

I started my search for mayorgas with no success back a few years ago. In truth I had nothing but the husband's name. A great uncle Francisco Lopez Contreras (1855) son of Dorotheo Lopez Escareno con Guadalupe Contreras Delgado married a mayorga and somewhere the name Ursua appears don't know if he married twice. I don't know if they are any relation to your mayorgas a few hundred years forward. I should mention that about this time the Alonsos began to appear in my maternal line with a few interesting stories.

Thank you Austin for helping me, i really appreciate it. I wonder if 594
pesos was a lot back then.

Simona,
I'd be interersted in your Alonsos, I have hundreds of Alonsos I might be
able to help connect your Alonsos and my Alonsos.
