Hello! My name is Isela Cueva Rizzi. I joined this listserv a few years ago when I was planning a trip to the rancho where my dad (who died 16 years ago at 68 years old) was born & raised - Rancho Santa Marta near Tecolotlan. I was most interested in learning more about my dad’s father, Esteban Cueva, of whom I know very little. From what I understand, my grandfather, Esteban, died when my dad was around 2 or 3 years old. My dad was his illegitimate child. Esteban was married to Catalina and they had several children together. Though they lived in the Rancho, they were connected to Tecolotlan.
I am not sure if my grandfather is related to the Cueva's you mention below. This is the first time since I’ve been a member that my last name and the nearby town of Tecolotlan has come up. I am very excited for the possibility of learning more about my grandfather & patriarchal lineage.
Many thanks for whatever help or encouragement you can offer.
Isela
