I am tracking Joan (Juan) De Angon who had a rancho in 1633 near Jerez:
http://oi61.tinypic.com/2qdzqk8.jpg
This rancho was exactly located here:
http://oi60.tinypic.com/152jals.jpg
I know that he had a son named "Esteban Angon."
I believe Joan Angon is the grandfather of my 7th generation great grandmother "Maria De La Candelaria Angon (1655 - 1709) who married Antonio Madera (1660 - 1709).

unfortunately it is cut off, but by looking at the other side, i'm not sure if these records are death records or not. i think they may actually be either birth or confirmation records due to the sheer number listing of names are parents
Can someone help me read the
It does says Angon and the first visible letter seems to me an "A" thus it was probably referring to a daughter. like Katy said is a Confirmation entry; "hija de Juo. de angon i Juana M. Cat. de Gomes?/Gusman?" Godparent is not visible due to the tight binding.
Can someone help me read the
Thanks Katy and RJQ for replying.
I have here a description of Juan De Angon on Pasejero de Indias to Mexico in 1606. There was a Juan De Angon who also had a son name Juan Angon:

In the PARS website the reference no. is: CONTRATACION,5295,N.10

I have traced Juan Angon. He shows up in the "Cofradias 1632 - 1700" archive of Huejuquilla El Alto. Where almost every page starts out with, "En La Cofradia De La Limpia Concepcion en la Capilla de este Rancho De Juan De Angon" Year 1633 for example. He had a son name Esteban Angon where then it refers to him as "Rancho de Esteban Angon" which later changed to "Estancia De Esteban Angon" By 1681, then it mentions that En la Estancia que le pertenece a dos herederos de Esteban Angon:
http://oi59.tinypic.com/3142gja.jpg
The Estancia changed name to "Rio Chico"
One of those herederos is suppose to be Juana Angon. The other could be my 7th Generation Great Grandmother Maria De La Candelaria Angon. As Maria Angon shows up twice in 1684 and 1685 as an oficial for La Cofradia. She was "Tenanche Mayor" in 1684. Then in 1685 she was Tenanche de Arsenal.
The Oficial Prioeste was "Nicolas De La Cruz" who later in 1686 shows up as a padrino in the baptismo of Manuela Madera at Mezquitic. Manuela Madera is the daughter of Antonio Madera/Maria De La Candelaria. So look at these too and notice "Nicolas De La Cruz" and Maria Angon in first pic. Then in second pic during the bautismo. Nicolas De La Cruz shows up as a padrino for Maneual Madera along with parents Antonio Madera/Maria De La Candelaria Angon.

The strange part is that then Maria De La Candelaria begins to leave off her last name in the documents recorded at Mezquitic. Through a nuestrosranchos member that showed me a marriage document that was recorded in the matrimonio dispensas de Guadalajara that Maria Candelaria Angon who was married to Antonio Madera at Mezquitic had a daughter name Maria Madera that was getting married to Antonio Navarette:

That is when I found out that Maria De La Candelaria's last name is Angon and it opened the doors for me in finding her relatives which seem to be in that rancho of Juan Angon near Jerez. Juan De Angon also shows up on the Census of Valparaiso year 1648. I have the list of the Census of Valparaiso 1648. But I promised someone that I won't show anyone until he has his chance to make his presentation about the history of Valparaiso.

Joseph Madera (1684 - 1734)

The Guadalajara Diosesis? Can you tell me more about what that contains? If you find any on Antonio Madera or Maria De La Candelaria Angon Or Joseph Madera their son. Can you let me know?
If I go into that Guadalajara Diosesis and look for matrimonio of Antonio Madera (1660 - 1709) and Maria De La Candelaria Angon (1655 - 1735) in the time frame around 1680 - 1687, do you think I can find their matrimonio in there?

Here in this link on the Diocesis of Guadalajara beginning on page 144 and for the next several pages it mentions "Maria De La Candelaria Angon" of Mezquitic beinb married to Antonio Madera of Mezquitic:
https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/TH-1-18412-32905-83?cc=1874591&wc…
I believe you were the one that originally found this. I have a question about this archive of the Diocesis of Guadalajara? Is it random in terms of finding relatives from a certain town? Is it organized by geographic location to as to look up the archives of Diocesis of Guadalajara in the Valparaiso, Mezquitic, Huejuquilla region? Or is it just random?
Can someone help me read the
the guadalajara dispensas found under the Mexico, Jalisco, Catholic Church Records, 1590-1979 category is organized randomly, and the Mexico, Archdiocese of Guadalajara, Miscellaneous Marriage Records collection has them organized by location usually.
also nvm about the last link, i looked some names on that tree and it seems unlikely that the antonio on that tree on my last link is your ancestor
