Hi everyone,
I'm very happy to have found this group and I just wanted to briefly introduce myself. My name is Jean Guerrero, I'm a KPBS reporter in San Diego, previously with the Wall Street Journal in Mexico City. For the past several years I have been working on a reported family memoir about my paternal family's migration from Mexico to the U.S. My great great grandparents, Gregorio Valenzuela and Juana Velasquez, were born in Tlaltenango de Sanchez Roman, Zacatecas. My great grandfather, Antonio Valenzuela, was born to them in 1901 in Rancho de Encinillas in the same pueblo.
I will be posting on the genealogy research forum with specific questions. Nice to e-meet everyone! And thanks for accepting me into the group.
Sincerely,
Jean

Cuellar
I was out of town, yes my last name is Cuellar but I am really looking for Martin del Campo de la Yegua Rusa and Franco Gutierrez which I have not been successfull.
Self-Introduction
Hi Jean,
Welcome to Nuestros Ranchos. With the information you share in your other post, I was able to determine that we are distant cousins through the Valenzuela line. Many people in the general Tlaltenango area share ancestors, and we also descend from the Miramontes and other families.
Let me know if you have any questions, and you can always send me a message through the group!
