I don't get why this marriage doc of Juan de los Reies Gallo and Polonia Yanes does not mention whats so ever the names of their parents? So if someone can please clarify this to me?It also mentions a date 17 Dec.1752?And what does Boleta mean?
The earlier marriage records, in some localities, give only the 'essential' facts. That is, just the names of the couple getting married. All the other details are often in the matrimonial investigations.
In Aguascalientes, for example, the marriage records started giving more details in the 1740s. Prior to then, the matrimonial investigations, when they exist, filled in the details; however, many are missing.
The information that was recorded in the sacramental documents changed over time. As I'm sure you've also noticed, and not every community did things the same way. When changes were ordered by the Bishop, it took a while for everyone to start doing things the same way.
Another reason is that the clerk who recorded the marriage may not have had all the information. He recorded what he knew. Ocassionally you may see a blank where a surname should be. Rarely, the given name is missing.
