Aguascalientes, Ags. church records - Data In a MS Word Document
Por serna_david | 11:41 AM MST, Lun Enero 17, 2011
I thought i remembered someone offering an index of entries of the Aguascalientes Marrages in an MS Word document form . Does anyone else know where this link or Database is posted. ?
It only covers the 1600s. There is some information on how the file is put together, and what some of the limitations are. I have been working on a follow-up file to cover the early 1700s, but it is not complete.
A follow-up file of the early 1700s would be great. By the way, do you know
which church should have the marriages and baptisms of Tepesala,
Aguascalientes in the 1700s?

If Tepezala is the same as Tepesala, then possibly Rincon de Romos. The FHL library has no films for a church in this village; it may have been served by a chapel from a larger church. Rincon de Romos is relatively close. Pinos, Zacatecas is also close, but farther than Rincon de Romos.
There are many references to persons born in Tepezalá in the 1700's. Both Zacatecas and Aguascalientes had jurisdictions in that area at different times, and it appears that activities of the priests of the neighboring parishes frequently overlapped. Asientos being mining territory, I suspect too that some of the families moved around a bit. Anyway, I have seen references to Tepesalá in Asientos, and in Rincón (San José de Gracia), and in Sagrario (Villa de Aguascalientes). Check Pinos and Ojocaliente Zacatecas also.
