Just a FYI....I haven't seen any postings regarding the move of the digitized Mexico records. But if anyone is expecting to browse the digitized records on the LDS Pilot site...they are at the Beta Site now.
My cousin was doing an extraction and stopped his work as of yesterday or so.....he will now resuming his work in Aguascalientes.

LDS digitized Mexico records have moved online from the Pilot Si

Rose what kind of extraction for Aguascalientes, Im currently working on two books I plan to author sometime next year.
One will be extractions for 17th century of Aguascalientes and a lengthy analytical monograph and the other book
is about my maternal family Perez de Camino. So much to work. Im almost done with extractions, well sort of around
half way but much work is still needed. Im with Fondo de Cultura Economica in Mexico for both books. I'll let everyone
know when they are published and ready to sell its supposed to be a big hit in Mexico, we'll see about that, maybe
the Aguascalientes but my Perez de Camino is more personal using all the records in our Archivo Familiar that span over
500 years of family history and catholic church and colonial government records to assist me, basically a huge "monografia
genealogica"
Back to work.....

Digitized Mexico Records on Beta Site
Rose,
Thanks for the update. I have found the Beta site very difficult to navigate, but I guess if all of the records are being transferred there, I better get used to it!

Digitized Mexico Records on Beta Site
As far as the digitized records are concerned it is actually better since
each collection now has it's own URL making it easier to point someone to
it. The URL for all of the records for Mexico is
https://beta.familysearch.org/s/collection/list#page=1&countryId=1927078
As far as searching I agree because I search for someone and I put place of
birth and place of death as Mexico and they give me results for Costa Rica.
They obviously have a lot of tweaking to do.

Armando,
On the beta website, I couldn't find a place to choose gender, and it seems to disregard the specifics I enter, like parents names and even time frame, resulting in thousands of entries. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks so much, Alice

Alice, I apologize I hadn't stated what I was in agreement with in my
previous statement. Basically I was agreeing that the Beta site is difficult
to navigate and the searches provide results we aren't looking for. So no,
you aren't doing anything wrong. The website just isn't useful in its
current state as far as searches are concerned.

I agree with Alice, and with you. In its current stage the Beta site needs "tweeking". I have tried to do my part by entering and arbitrating Mexico records.

Digitized Mexico Records on Beta Site
Esther, I also found it less user friendly.....I informed my cousin of that fact as he has tendency to get frustrated easily.
Good luck on your work Daniel. I've worked on various extractions, most not published. It is time consuming work....especially the editing....
Armando, I'm glad that the sites have their own URL....I hadn't noticed that...I was just glad I found the records...but yes, it is helpful when instructing someone as to the location of the records.
Happy researching everyone!
