I am stumped on this one.
Mateo Alviso son Ignancio Alviso and Juana Maria Gonsales (aka Juana Maria De La Pas or San Jose De La Paz) married Atilana Dias daughter of George Dias and Paula Carranza in San Miguel Jalisco Nov 7, 1821.
These two had the following Children:
Margarita Alviso Margarita Alviso Dias b. 6/9/1822 San Miguel El Alto Rancho Abiones (Mulata)
Maria Jacinta Alviso Dias b. 8/15/1824 San Miguel El Alto Rancho Abiones (Mestiza)
Calixto (Calisto) Alviso Dias b. 10/19/1827 San Miguel El Alto Rancho Abiones
Then supposedly Atilana Dias dies and Mateo Alviso remarries Casimira Vasques on Oct 15, 1845, in San Miguel, see the father and son back to back dispensas of Mateo and Calixto.
So, I have had this for a while, but it was on my wish list of microfilms to order. I found a Cayetana Albiso Dias baptized Aug 12, 1860 in San Diego De Alejandria, Jalisco parents Mateo Albiso son of Ignacio Albiso and Juana Paz and Atilana Dias, daughter of Jorge Dias and Tomasa Gutierres. Image 135 and 136.
Could Mateo have moved his 1st wife to a different town, marred Casimira and then kept having children with the first wife? The only discrepancy is Atilana's mother, but George Dias might have remarried. I suppose I could start with Atilana's father's marriages and their timeframe. This seems really odd though, am I not seeing something?
