Barron certainly appears to be a common name in Mexico for some time so the England story is suspect.
Here are a couple of IGI listings that look somewhat interesting as far as Rosario's parents though neither is an exact match. I suppose Rosario died to early to be listed in the Social Security death index. Do you have any idea which border crossing he would have used to come to the U.S.?

My son-in-law's paternal maternal great-grandfather, Rosario Barron (Paura) worked the Quik Silver Mines in what was known as the Redwood Township Almaden Precinct of Santa Clara Co. CA. in the 1920s.
Rosario Barron b. abt 1884 Mexico, died bef 1930, son of (father's name not known to me) and mother Preciliana Paura b. abt 1860. Rosario married Macaria Perales Rodriquez, she b. 24 March 1889 Jesus, Zacatecas, Mexico daughter of Luis Perales and Victoriana Rodriquez. Verbal history has Rosario being born in England, and traveling to Mexico in the late 1800s. The 1920 Santa Clara Co. Federal Census indicates that he was born in Mexico, as were his parents.
1920 Santa Clara Co. CA Census, Sosario (Rosario) Barron head of household, Macaria wife; sons Marcello, Cipriano, Tomas, Manuel and daughter Natalia, also listed is Preciliana Paura (Rosario's widowed mother); Emilio Perales (Rosario's brother-in-law) and Victoriana Rodriquez (Rosario's widowed mother-in-law.)
On the 1930 Santa Clara Co. CA census Macaria is listed as a male/head of household, along with children Sipriano, Natalie, Thomas, Manuel, Albert, Alexandria and Emilio; and mother Victoria Perales. One can only assume that from 1920 to 1930 Rosario Barron and his mother Preciliana Paura had passed away.

Arturo,
I checked this record out, and it looks promising. Prisciliana's age of 20
in 1879 and 60 on the 1920 Fed. Census fits.
Thank You,
Pat

Arturo,
Thank you for the IGI listings, I'll check them out. I found the info on
Macaria Perales on LDS - IGI Batch I048833 for Jesus, Zacatecas, Zacatecas.
No dates/film # was noted for that batch number.
My son-in-law's father from North Carolina will be visiting next week...
hopefully between the two of us, we'll be able to extend the Barron line/s.
I pretty much thought the same about the England theory, but one never
knows. I have traced the paternal paternal line back to Scotland, it's
possible that the verbal history was referring to that side of the family
and not the Mexican paternal maternal lines.

Pat's Batch ???
Joseph, when I did an IGI search for Macaria Perales, this record came up:
Macaira Perales, Christening: 24 Mar 1889
Jesus, Zacatecas, Zacatecas, Mexico.
Parents:
Father: Luis Perales
Mother: Victoriana Rodriguez
Source Information: Batch No. I048833 (alpha letter I, not number 1) no
dates nor film number listed... though under type: Film is noted.

this is very interesting. I wonder what its about. Maybe worth making a
call to SLC and asking at the international desk
I don't have the phone number handy does anyone on the list have the
toll free phone number to SLC Family History Library? Or you can go to
the familysearch.org site and at the bottom there is a "contact" URL.
You have to be a registered user (easy to do) but they do answer
questions sent in.

Pat's Batch ???
When I have come across batch numbers with no film or dates, it generally
means they are in the process of entering new information into the IGI.
Sometimes the old batch numbers on microfiche have been altered. For example
the film number could be C123456, but as SLC is entering the new information
into the IGI they could change it to J123456 or K123456 and vise versa. I
have played with batch numbers over the years from the microfiche and have
been surprised.

Pat's Batch ???
I sent an e-mail to SLC FHC, their reply is posted below. Rose, I agree
with what you wrote, since all the entries for this batch are for females
for the years 1888; 1889 and 1890.
The film number that was mentioned is not in the film number series for
Jesus Parish. I thought that maybe the 248201 number was a typo. There's a
245201 listed, wonder what's on that film... I'll post their reply to my
second e-mail, requesting additional information for the 248xxx film
series...Pat
Dear Particia,
The film number is 248201. It is a microfilm of the record "Registros
parroquiales, 1881-1933 Iglesia Católica. Jesús (Zacatecas, Zacatecas)".
Registers of baptisms, marriages and deaths from Jesús Parish in the city of
Zacatecas, Zacatecas, Mexico. You can order it at a family history center
for a nominal fee and then view it at the center when it arrives Each
center has unique hours of operation, so be sure to telephone your local
center for their scheduled hours before you visit. There are three ways to
find the nearest family history center:
- See our web site at www.familysearch.org and type in your locality in the
field labeled "Find a Family History Center Near Your Home".
- Telephone us at 1-800-346-6044
- Check your local telephone directory under the name "The Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter-day Saints."
We hope this information is helpful and wish you success in your research.
Sincerely,
