Valvina Reynoso
Hola Elysia,
I got your email but thought best to post my answer here in case this might help somebody else.
I do not have copies of the original records for Valvina, but here is what I gathered from the online database at FamilySearch.org & IGI:
VALVINA REYNOSO was born abt. 1814 in Moyahua, Zacatecas. She was the daughter of SILVERIO REYNOSO & GREGORIA CARRILLO. That is as far as I have gone in that line. My 4th G-grand-father is Toribio Reynoso, Valvina' brother. The church records for Moyahua start at about 1812, and unfortunatley, the Juchipila church records before that era have been lost. I fear that's where most of our REYNOSO/RENTERIA, HARO, RODRIGUEZ, LUNA, PONCE, etc. information would be.
CAUTION: I also found an ALVINA REYNOSO, who was married to Estevan Lopez, and her parents names are the same as VALVINA...I still have not figured out if this is one person who married twice, or if they were sisters with similar names. But sadly, we do not have their marriage dates to confirm the info from the record.
FYI: When searching for REYNOSO names in Moyahua & Juchipila, also search under RENTERIA. The family used both. Search this site for posts about the REYNOSO/RENTERIA names and you will see examples of what I mean.
Good luck!
Valvina Reynoso
I am aware of the Juchipia "lost records" we ought to remember our ancestors traveled alot, not all hope is lost.Ive seen Juchipila citizens go to Tabasco, Jalpa, Huanusco, Tlatenango, Zac. Calvillo and Aguascalientes, Ags.Teocaltiche and Nochistlan. All surrounding parishes. It is possible they could have gone there as well.

Introduction - Rodriguez/Esparza research
Ill look into your info and see if I can find anything. It looks like you descendfrom the Haro family which populated almost all of Zacatecas! If youhave lines in Tlatenango, Tuel and Juchipila. It would be good to checkchurch records in Tabasco (also called Villa del Refugio) in Zacatecas.Ive seen in records people coming from Juchipila which is down the road. Also try Jalpa, Zac. You might want to also consider lastly Calvillo, Ags.Even Teocaltiche, Jalisco. I have this problem where my ancestors went all over this place (el Valle de Huejucar). Good thing most churches are newfrom the 1750s. Tabasco records start in 1747. Calvillo, 1772. I think Jalpastarts 1820 or so. Teocaltiche back in 1627 or so.

info on searches!
Thank you!!
I thought of that, but wasn't sure how crazy mobile my ancestors were... I will try searching using the places in Jalisco, or Jalisco in general. I usually just use the pilot site at family search.org. I am not really knowledgeable of otherways to look things up.
Thank you again,
Elysia
info on searches!
Elysia,
I just wanted to comment that while Family Search Pilot has come in very
handy I've had a lot more success using IGI in the regular Family Search
website. Then, once I identify a record, I send for a copy.

info on searches!
Hello Angelina,
In your response you use "send for a copy". Are you requesting "copies" from Salt Lake? If so, what has been your experience? I have not used this method of research, but instead have relied on the old fashioned way - ordering from my local FHC microfilm.
Best wishes,
Paul Gomez

info on searches!
Hello Paul,
Yes, I order copies of the actual record from Salt Lake. You can get the
forms from your local FHC or from the website. It takes anywhere from 2 to 8
weeks to get them back. The cost is $2 per record. Occasionally they've had
problems locating the record I'm interested in but normally I've had pretty
good luck. The catch is that you can only order 8 records every two weeks
and lately the turnaround time has been closer to 6 weeks so you have to be
patient.
To find the form go to familysearch.org click on "forms" under "Start Your
Family Tree" scroll down to "Request For Photocopies - IGI and Sources"
click on that and follow the directions.
Hope this helps.
