Hello-
I am very excited to be part of the group and share my search with
others and hopefully help others in theirs.
I am researching my maternal line and the ancestor I am researching is:
Josepha Macias b. abt. 1820 and married 1847 to Jose Quirino Anaya in
La Encarnacion, Encarnacion de Diaz, Jalisco.
One of thier children was Maria Peregrina Anaya Macias b. 1854,
Jalisco, Tepatitlan de Moreles, Mexico
His second wife was named Francisca Macias b. 1837 La Encarnacion,
Encarnacion De Diaz, Jalisco.
I have lots of information on Francisca'a family and would be happy to
share it if anyone needs it.
Looking for any info on Josepha Macias.
Below are the additional names I am researching and care share information on:
Avellaneda, Garcia De Leon, Anaya Macias, Hermosillo, Gonzalez, Villansenor,
Introduction-Encarnacion de Diaz Jalisco- macias anaya, avellane
Hi Stephanie, I am Daniel Méndez del Camino, Welcome to our wonderful and hardworking group. I hope you'll enjoy being part of this family. I am familiar with some of your surnames in my research in Los Altos region. García de León is one almost all of has has connection to. I would say the easiest would be García and Hermosillo since they are very well documented families extending their genealogy as far as the 16th century. Most of the research is done for these families, you just need to connect to the "big tree" probably ca. 1690-1720 or so then you'll connect hopefully.
I've found some names maybe you have them or not. You may have notice the María on Josefa. It was custom for catholics in México to be baptized as José or María depending on gender then their "first name" and then middle name" followed by there compound surname, then at least in our family would put the last name of the ancestor if the baby was named after.
i.e. María de Jesús del Camino y García Vásquez
HAve you tried ordering the films for these children? Im sure they include their grandparents post-1812.

I also found one of their children marrying in México D.F. Their age difference is quite interesting; at least for my experience. I also did find your same record of Quirino's marriage in 1847. I think youll have to order that to find their parents.

P.S. HOW DO YOU CONNECT TO THE AVELLANEDAS? THEIR OF SPANISH NOBILITY. THEY BECAME LORDS OF AVELLANEDA ABT 40 YEARS BEFORE THE CONQUEST. MORE RECENT THAN OTHER OF OUR FAMILIES. CA. 1470. IT USE TO BE DE OCHOA BUT TOOK ON
"DE AVELLANEDA" AS THEIR NEW SURNAME. THEY MARRIED INTO THE ARELLANOS AND ZúñIGA FAMILIES IN SPAIN BEFORE COMING TO THE KNEW WORLD AT LEAST SOME OF THEIR MEMBERS NOT ALL OF THEM. ALMOST ALL SPANISH SETTLERS IN THE NEW WORLD CAME FROM POWERFUL NOBLE FAMILIES.
