I would like to introduce myself. My name is Alejandro Gomez, I am 22 years old, from Monterrey, Mexico. I have been researching my ancestors for several years, and some of my lines came from the states of Aguascalientes, Zacatecas and Jalisco.
Some of the surnames that I am researching are Munoz de la Barba, Milleros, De Torres, Cordero, Becerra, Diosdado, Luna, Gomez and Jimenez.
I really enjoy doing genealogy and I hope to be able to help as much as I can and sharing our information and findings.
And, of course, if someone needs any help with some ancestor from Northern Mexico please let me know, I will be more than happy to help.
Best Regards,
Alejandro.

Hello Alejandro - My name is Yolanda Ochoa and I have been conducting research in Jalisco (Ayotlan/Ayo El Chico), and Sauceda de la Borda, Zacatecas. I have both Diosdado and Luna surnames in my family tree coming from the Ayo El Chico, Jalisco area. My maternal family tree is posted in Ancestry.com.
I have the following marriage record for Jose Justo De Diosdado & Maria Rosalia de Jesus Camargo Ramires married May 11, 1812 in Ayo El Chico, Jalisco Mexico in the Iglesia Nuestra Senora de la Soledad. The tree posted to Ancestry.com was my first ever attempt at research using the LDS database. Since then, I have gotten better at my searching using batch numbers and surnames. I searched Justo's and Maria's record again and they can be found on Batch No. M604479, Source Call No. 0280789, San Agustin, Ayo El Chico. Interestingly I found another marriage record for Justo in1804. He might have been married twice.
I hope this was the right forum to share all this info.
Regards, Yolanda

Alejandro,
Have you submitted your genealogy? My family also has ties to Monterrey. I submitted
my gedcom to this site already and my genealogy is also out on www.rootsweb.com.

Hi Esther,
In my first message I missed to say that my gedcom can be viewed in the gedcom section. For any other information about a family from Monterrey, please kindly let me know and I will check my records to see if I can find something.
Best Regards,
Alejandro.

Hi Alejandro...please check out the Luna family that I have from Tlatenango.
Also, which surnames do you have from Monterrey, Nuevo Leon? My father's
side of the family is from that area, although many of them moved to Coahuila
after the 1840's.
Esperanza Villarreal Luna
Chicagoland area
Diosdado
Hi Yolanda,
Actually I was thinking of doing a question about the Diosdado family!
My line came from "Asientos de Ibarra", which I think is Asientos, Aguascalientes (please correct me if I am wrong).
Joseph Hilario de Luna, married to Maria Marciala de Diosdado, about 1795. All I know is that his first child was born in Asientos. Then, they moved to Nuevo Leon, where they had other children.
Has anybody done research in Asientos?
Thanks.
Alejandro.
