The intent but never the requirement of the group is to stay focused on the "ranchos" of Jalisco, Zacatecas and Aguascalientes so that members can maintain a common focus and thus help each other with their research. If you are a serious researcher or want to be a serious researcher this group is for you. If you have no intention of doing your own research there are a multitude of other sites and message boards, such as those available at Rootsweb that are more appropriate. Please scan through the message archive, which is open to the general public, to get an idea of what is meant by doing your own research.
Note: In order to join this group you will need to provide a representative sample of your genealogical investigations, including names that you are researching and some dates and locations that link your research to our area of focus (Jalisco, Zacatecas y Aguascalientes). We would also expect that as you get aquainted with the group you will share your research related to the area of Jalisco, Zacatecas and Aguascalientes with other members so that we can make connections with one another.

U.S. Code § 506. Criminal offenses (a) Criminal Infringement. - Any person who infringes a copyright willfully for purposes of commercial advantage or private financial gain shall be punished as provided under section 2319 of title 18, United States Code.
Article 230 of Federal Copyright Law of Mexico. Any infraction related to the infingement of copyright protections shall be punished by the National Copyright Institute with a fine in accordance to the dispositions of the Federal Law of Administrative Procedure.
