Arturo,
I really hate to bother you again, but I'd really like to read the Los Senores list. After I follow your instructions to Daniel and click the nuestros ranchos user's guide, the same thing happens when I click the second volume of Los Senores. A small icon at the bottom left says it is downloading from site, but where is it? Nothing appears before or after the downloading asking whether I want to open, save, etc. Please, what am I doing wrong.. Thank you so much, Alice -- arturo.ramos2@gmail.com wrote:

Daniel:
After logging in to Nuestros Ranchos, go to the link:
http://www.nuestrosranchos.org/node/15662
Or go to Files - Books and Articles
You will see there are two files as attachments to that folder. The names are listed alphabetically with the first file A-L and the second L-Z.
You can rotate the document within Adobe. I suggest you save the file and then open it from your desktop as each one is 2MB...
If you are having trouble using the site, I suggest you download the Nuestros Ranchos User Guide which is available in the Files - References section.
Accessing Senores de Zacatecas
Arturo, I got it to work! And what's even better, is that I found two of my family's names--Onate and Santelices! The Onates are quite well known, but the Santelices are unheard of. Anything you could tell me about Santelices 127 would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again for all you do. Alice

Santelices in Zacatecas
The only mention of the surname Santelices is of a procurador (attorney general) by that name (no first name given) recommending that a tribunal show leniancy to a group of miners... The source document is Archivo Historico del Palacio de la Mineria, Elecciones de 1792, decision del procurador, Mexico, 1 Dec 1792.
